Post subject: have i just killed my scorpions?
Archived from groups: alt>pets>arachnids (more info?)

Mum, an emperor scorpion, died a few days ago while giving birth. We tried
to save the 9 surviving babies by removing them to a small plastic viv, damp
forest bed substrate, high humidity, over heat mat at about 90f
Today I found 6 of them non moving, but they looked ok physically. I
believed they had died so I wrapped them in tissue and disposed of them.
My partner, returning home wondered if they were actually performing their
first change.
Im very upset. Our other mum has 15+ bundles of legs and claws and there's
been no problems.
Has anyone else attempted to rescue orphans? Have I done wrong please?
